I'll I can saw is that I have never seen so many built rigs at the park before. I was very impressed. It was worth taking vacation to see the vehicles that showed up. It was a much more impressive crowd than that I have seen at the 4x4fest and the Jamboree. It made me feel ashamed of the crap I've got!

We all had a great time. I would like to thank everyone as well. I picked a few bad lines and had to be pulled off some ledges before I flopped or broke, but it was an excellent day.
I also want to thank Dirk for taking out an "overflow" of rigs that wanted to run medium trails.
and...... Congrats to Alex on that winch!!!

My wife and I were leaving town Sat. morning and we saw quite a few cool rigs. Big white Sami, lifted landcruiser w/ snorkel, 4runner and of course big Jeeps on trailers.

Rob, why do you need a fuel cell? You just remove the last 13 - 14" of the frame which is the part of the frame behind the tank. It doesn't affect the fuel tank.
I am not necessarily advocating the bob, I am just stating the need for a fuel cell is not a reason to put off bobing. I have spent too many hours laying under my 8 thinking about it.
I am trying to figure out how to eliminate the tail dragging without the bobing.
Later, Ken

Howabout sticking a CJ7 tub on an scrambler frame with the wheel wells cut straight back. Kinda like the way Jen's TJ is modified now. If you were wanting to save the scrambler body that would be a way to go maybe?

Ken, I don't have a stock fuel tank, the previous owner adapted a chevy 20 gal. tank and moved what would be the crossmember that you'd bob to, back several inches, creating a problem. I may just put it in the bed instead of doing a fuel cell, I haven't decided yet, but I do want the tank in the bed, I'm tired of smacking it on rocks.
Andy, I've thought about putting a CJ7 tub on it, but that's alot of work and bobbing it is faster and easier, as far as saving a good scrambler tub, granted, it is almost completely rust free, but it's scratched, dented, and now the left rear quarter panel is crushed. If someone were to have a CJ 7 tub in comperable condition to mine, already Dura-backed inside, and were willing to help me switch everything out, I might consider it as long as it cost me nothing, for me to bob mine it's absolutely free, except for my labor and possibly a fuel cell. I'll be starting a bobbing thread in Tech if anyone's interested.

You all did a great job!! The easy group that Andy led and I tail gunned was a great group of folks. We had a great time with them and Andy did an excellent job of leading. We did have someone suggest drive shaft at the end of the day ( ? ) and all did well getting up it with one glitch with Ryan in his wrangler. We had to hook up a winch to get him over a hump and he did a great job, being his first time out wheelin'. We did have some help getting him diconnected up front to get some flex from Jim H. Thanks Jim, Ryan said it was really noticeable after it was done.

I am very very very glad that you were able to make it. Was a huge help to have a tail gunner. I don't know if Jim gets on the board so I thanked him after the BBQ for the help on the swaybar.
It was fun leading the easy group and watching how excited people got when the realize what that 4x4 they bought can do when it isn't on the street.

I have always liked leading the easy group for that fact. but I have never had any one suggest drive shaft. Then again We never had this much trail time either.

Watching Eric with his Trooper was great, it performed well and he is hooked on wheelin'. Glad you were there Eric.
A big thank you to Mark & Dina, for all the work with getting the sponsors to donate their stuff. The icing on the cake for all those that traveled and got a prize to go home with.

I want to send a special thanks to Robin for sticking around until i got my starter and battery problem fixed. I look forward to the next time our clubs can get together and enjoy the trails again. On behalf of Tremors Hardcore 4x4, thanks for the great weekend!
