Thanks. One of these days (read years) when it isn't my daily driver I would like to add on another lift kit and some 35's so I can be a poser that sits even higher. I'll be the first to admit that I don't wheel it like it should be. The website that I go to a lot is www.4x4parts.com which is one of the very few Nissan sites that I have learned a lot from over the years. Anyway... Ah what the heck here's another

Nice to see you back Quinton! If that is a beater my ride is destined for the scrap heap! (Oh wait! It is!) Glad to hear from you again!

Yeah, I love it. It has no power and the IFS sucks, but I have always liked the looks of them and it is so reliable. I lifted it mainly for looks. I wish the rear window would roll down like the old 4runners. I would like to put a solid axle under it some day, but I probably never will. I probably will just buy a Rubicon someday and bypass the locker lawyer.
who knows

Okay, here's another beater I have used the hunk to haul lots of landscape rock and such and it hasn't let me down yet. The most I've hauled at one time is 3/4 of a ton. ;D What a 4 bangin beast.

As long as everything works, take it out. If it dies on the trail, we (as in the club) won't leave you out there, we will help you limp it home, or find somewhere to tow it to until it can get fixed. "Nobody gets left behind"

Your wife drives an H2? Without trying to sound like a jerk... Let me guess. One of the following was the reason: "I need 4wd for driving in snow." "I need it because I can haul a lot of stuff with it." "I need it because it's safe." "I need it because I can see really well." When the actual reason is more like: "I need it so I'll be the envy of all my girlfriends." "I need it so I can feel like I'm better than the 'Joneses'" "I need it because it's so cool. It's completely impractical, way too heavy to ever be considered a safe vehicle, it's a pregnant dog to park, it's crappy on gas, it's expensive to insure, and it'll never be used for what it was intended, but I need it." I've got three words for someone who needs a vehicle that is great in the snow, fairly safe, has a great view of the road, can hold a LOT of stuff, and can tow quite a bit, and costs about 2/3 what an H2 does. "ASTRO and SAFARI" Both of those are available with AWD, which is infinitely better in the snow than 4wd. People don't understand that. It's precisely why Subaru and Audi are the kings of the rally races. Sorry about the rant. If she actually 'wheels the thing, it's a whole different story. I really like your Pathfinder. It's really nice. Don't get me wrong, I like H2s. The difference is I'd be 'wheeling the heck out of it, not just tooling it around town. Once again, I'm sorry about the rant. I'm just passionate about people buying H2s, Escalades, Navigators, Sequoias, Mercedes G-wagens, Landcruisers, etc. Basically $45k+ vehicles which never see anything more challenging than a dirt road.
