Let me try this again... If as a club we decide not to, I would like the opportunity to sell shirts at the event. I am willing to take care of all the expenses, thereby assuming all the risk if the shirts don't sell. If they do sell, I am willing to split the profits with the club. Here's the design: I have not decided what color ink/shirt to use, but I think you can get the general idea. I will add a brief "1st Annual Kansas Krawl September 27, 2003" to the back of some of the shirts. The longsleeve shirts would retail between $20-25. TK4x4 members could buy the shirts for $15. If the shirts are a success and the club wants to invest in printing more later, I will give the club the design and the screens will already be paid for.

I think that this would make just a good club shirt in general.

That was kind of my thinking. If I print some of them with the Kansas Krawl stuff on the back and some of them without, then we get more bang for the buck.

Good job Jen. I also believe they would make good Club shirts but are a little to plain to be an event shirt. I believe it was Alex that mentioned in another thread, the shirt has to be a design that catches the eye for a event shirt. As a club shirt I would buy your design and I'd buy several if they had a [glow=red,2,300]Scout[/glow]on them ;D.

I agree, I think that would make a great club shirt! Just a thought, would adding Jeremy's "wheelin' dump truck" on the back of the shirt put the cost way too high? I thinking that in just limited quantities for the KK only and use your front design as a club shirt. I like the all black logo on yellow! Just some thoughts.

What about taking a small TK logo and putting it on the left brest in the front then Jeremys Dumptruck on the back and leaving the sleave the way it is. I like the black on yellow.

If we are interested in using this as a club shirt, it would only take the pre-sale of 39 shirts at $15.00 each to buy the minimum order of 72 shirts. Then the club could sell the other 33 shirts and keep all the proceeds.
If we can't pre-sell 39 shirts, I am willing to front the money for all the shirts and split any profits with the club.
For those who want something added to the back, I can add any design by heat transfer for about $3-5. Heat transfer holds up to washing better than you might think. I have a heat transfer shirt that has been washed over a dozen times and still looks good.
I say we should see how many we can pre-sell here in this forum. I'd really like for the club to be able to raise some funds off of this.
I'll start by commiting to 3 shirts (2 medium, one large). Only 36 more to go!

Here is my dilemma with buying a bunch of extra shirts. How many people are going to want to buy a T-Shirt with just another club's name and logo on it. I would think that this would be something that we should take an order for at a meeting or online, and order the shirts that we need for club members. I think when we were thinking of selling shirts it was more geared towards an event shirt. Also I think that a minimum order of 72 is awful high.
Jen PM me if you have any questions. I work for a Screen Print and embroidery company, and I know we could order less and still stay under $15 a shirt.

I saw your earlier post regarding the pricing on L/S shirts...$11.70 for a minimum of 25.
What minimum quantity does your company need to get the price under $8.00 each? We are talking a 100% cotton long sleeve yellow shirt with one color front and sleeve print. If it's less than 72, than I'm all about it.
I think we can get pretty close to pre-selling the 39 shirts needed for a break-even (on the 72 minimum order). The rest of the shirts could be sold to new members in the future. Maybe we'll even get a few new members at the event that would like to have one.
As far as an "event shirt," I agree with the concerns that others have voiced. I think it would be a huge gamble for the club to invest money (that it doesn't have) into a shirt that might not sell. I've spent a little time trying to come up with a good design. But I haven't been able to come up with a design in which I'm confident enough to invest $500 of my own money.

I'll commit to one XL now, and 1 L and 2 M over the next couple weeks. As far as 72 shirts go, we'd be well stocked for awhile . It'd be nice to have shirts on hand for new members to buy at sign up. I know when I joined the FL I bought a shirt at the same time and I saw alot of new members over the years do the same thing.

I'm all for buying a Club shirt but is yellow the only color? Heres my opinion on this subject--Jens shirts look nice and I would buy one because it is a TK shirt but I personnally think it would be nice to have a design like Jeremy has been working on. Like the saying goe's, A picture is worth a thousand words.
