Yeah, baby!! Check out those nice Isuzu wheels on there!! I wanna thank Mike a bunch for making this happen. I've been wanting to try these for a while, and it'll help me figure out whether or not I'll be able to go with 33s when I get my 2" lift put together. Rubs a LOT on turns, let me tell ya. Need that 2" soon.

Snapped a couple pics today in the sunlight while on a smoke break. Rubs like a sunuvagun!!! WIDE turns is the key... I'm sitting here wondering if there's maybe WAY too much meat on these bad boys for tomorrow.... Like I told Mike Caffey last night, these things really make me feel better about having the TrailKrawlers 4x4 decal on my rear window when I'm going down the street. Beefy meats make all the difference. Oddly enough, and I suppose it's due to the 4.30:1 gears I've got, I don't feel any difference in acceleration. It sits higher, and leans a little more, of course, but it doesn't really feel any different.

Need to spray some black paint on those rims ;D
Time to lift now!! How complicated is a lift on that thing? Do you have to drop the entire IFS center section in the front?

Friggin' torsion bar front end will only crank a little bit before I'd get really outta whack with steering and downward suspension travel. But, at least it's an easy 2" or so. I started a proboards message board for '92 and later bodystyle Troopers, and a guy on that list has a pair of 2" springs he's going to sell me cheap, so a lift is closer than I thought. Talk about rub! I would like to drop the center section like they have kits for on ifs Fords and Chevys all over the web. The best anyone's done for an aftermarket kit is 2.5" But, the same guy who's selling me the springs has 5" on his '94. Seen here:

Lookin' good! Those tires really give it an aggressive stance.

I think you need to get some to keep on for long term! You'll enjoy the benefits on the trail!!

I like the 33's ... just do it . Might take a bodylift not to rub. But on Troopers it looks good. Very little frame showing under the truck. Wheel back spacing, keep it close to stock, 3 1/2~3 3/4". Hey you can do a balljoint flip. With or with out a 1/4" spacer. And get 3"~3 1/2" lift in the front. My truck has no major alignment problems. Talk about rub! I would like to drop the center section like they have kits for on ifs Fords and Chevys all over the web. I dropped my diff a whopping 1/2" with spacers and longer bolts. But others on the 4x4wire have cut the diff brackets and rewelded them to drop the ft diff down 2-3". Search vendor forum at 4x4wire.com a member there is doing the welding, if you can't. The best anyone's done for an aftermarket kit is 2.5" But, the same guy who's selling me the springs has 5" on his '94. Seen here:

Wow. That's all stuff that hadn't even occured to me.
Man, I need to learn more before I really start spending money....
I appreciate the info a LOT. I think I'll probably do the milder tires for now, and do what you talked about when I feel a lot more confident.
The ball joint flip doesn't seem too hard, though. You know how to do that? I understand the concept, but the technique is not something I've gained.

The ball joint flip has the effect of leveling out the upper a-arm and corrects camber after cranking the t-bars up. On a stock Isuzu the upper ball joint is bolted to the top of the upper a-arm. You split the ball joint from the spindle, unbolt the ball joint from upper a-arm. Bolt it back on to bottomside of a-arm. And trim the droop snubbers by half. This allows you to crank the t-bars a little more. This nets about 2 1/2" lift. Adding a 1/4" spacer between ball joint and a-arm allows about 3"~31/2". I made my own spacers, but Joe at Darlingon Offroad has them very reasonable priced. Planet Isuzu write up with pictures. (Server seems to be down as it write this should be back soon)
