Hey i was looking into a GPS system. Does anyone know if they are any good??

In the Air Force they issue us Garmin E-trek GPS's. also the Rihno version is good but that e-trek is the best.

I have a megellan Sportrack Pro. It has mapping capability if you want that. The etrex does not.
Got mine from Flying J estore for $100 on sale. Have never seen it anywhere else for less than $200.
They do not like trees at all. I can hold a lock while in tuttle but the second time you go through the same area it may show your path as much as 30-40 ft from where you drove before. If I am out in the open it is fairly accurite though.
Got mine for stumbling around in colorado mostly.

Actually I was in Target and saw the E-trek for $200 and in does have mapping to it.

We used one in Arkansas, it was a garmen V (five) and it worked great! The unit got us there and on the trail it got us back to camp and then home. So I swear by them if you like to travel and wheel in strange locations it is a must. Never get lost on a trail again.
