What generally a good toe-in setting? I measured the Frog and it's 68" in front of the tires and 67.75 behind the tires. Any thoughts?

Hey Jr, When I have had my buses aligned they always set it with 1/4 in toe in. We couldn't adjust camber. It sounds like you need to reverse your measurements from front to rear.

The spec I have read is 1/8" for a 231 case equiped, and 0 for a 242 equiped. I just set mine to 0 as well though.

Well, I got my drag link flipped on top of the knuckle arm today! Thanks for the insert Dirk!! Now my drag link is almost parallel with the tie-rod. While I was at it I got my steering stabilizer re-mounted. Had to fab a bracket for it but that was easy. I couldn't adjust the toe-in cause I was the only one at the shop and the tape just wouldn't stay where I wanted it to That'll get done soon though. On the down side I found that my ball-joints are getting worn out, so guess what's next But what an improvement on the highway! The bump steer is gone and so is the wander!

I always measure off a flat spot on the inside sidewall, just make the rear a little wider than the front, you can do this in your driveway with a locking tape measure. Just level the tape under the drive shaft of spring, and use about the same spot in front, turm the adjustment and check often. the way you describe your toe now, tire wear will be rapid, and it may wander, or hunt the groves in the road more than when it's right.

It doesn't matter where you measure, as an inch measurement is just an approximation. Just find a smoth spot on the sidewall, and use it both front and back. An alignment shop uses a degree figure any way. ;D
