My lock right clicks when I go straight now. I called powertrax and he told me that the cross shaft might not be center. He said that some dana 30 carriers are not drilled center for the cross shaft and that I would need to uses some spacers to make up for the extra room next to the thrust washer's. Is this true? Also he told me the clicking noise is the teeth wearing down and that I would need a new driver and coupler at $40 each. I really don't know what to do right now. Mark could you help me take it apart sometime this week? Mike

Sounds like someone is making excuses for a problem there not sure about or they don't want to admit.
You usually get clicking noise from teeth because there not meshed right.
In my opinion it sounds like your due for a new locker.

That was a fairly new locker! But to click going straight makes no sense at all since it just sits there going straight.

It isn't very old so I don't see how it would just go bad so soon. I'm taking it to 4x4 land on Tuesday and they are going to open it up to see what they can do.

Was this the locker that messed up under warranty It definitly sounds like it has problems, I wouldn't drive it anymore from fear of further damage.

I broke my detroit in my dana 35. I put the lock right in around June or May I think. I have to drive it home to KC this weekend from Manhattan.

I would first check for broken pins, this is common for Lock Rights to break, but I have never broken any in my Dana turdie yet. I have broken 2 Lock Rights in a Dana 35 before and it ended up being because of the housing being twisted.

Well, it turns out that everything is ok with my lock right. Mike took it apart and reinstalled it. He also talked to lock right and everything checked out to be ok. So I have no idea what the problem was.
