Well the saga continues I pulled the front apart today to put the locker in and yet another blown hub! Well it is now axle flanges that are going in. What will break now?

What brand hubs? I assume we are talking lockouts right?
I ran Superwinch last year and part of this year. Broke one while in silly low (190:1) with the ARB on and winching a guy out off Little Blue ;D They warrantied it no questions asked. They have you send BOTH hubs in and they sent me a new set.
Down time forced me to get a set of Warns of Flea Bay, but both are lifetime warranty though.
Flanges suck unless it's trail only rig IMO.

one set of worn Warns and the other was MM. I really haven't been to hard on them thugh. I really see no disadvantages of running the flanges besides not being able to unlock a wheel. But who really wants to get out and do that anyways. On the street Blue had no locking hubs before anyways so I still don't see any disadvantage.

Mark the only thing I can think of that may be causing your hubs to blow could be that little bearing that is on the inside of the Spindle that your outer axle stub rides on may be bad. They are pretty cheep and easyt to replace. Just a thought

Ok I will look into them. I put neones into my other spindles that I couldn't use I didn't get them for these spindles They did however seem ok and well greased But like you said I think the kit is like $12 each. I am just afraid that with the front now being locked that the won't make it past my drive way And the flanges will cause major breakage where I don't want it. I should gather all my hubs and send them in and see if they will warenty them with premiums;)

If they weren't premiums, you are SOL. If you are locked in the front I would not run flanges on a street driven rig. to much wear on parts that is un-needed. I just sold my superwinch warr. hubs to!

It is in but no wheeling on it yet. Wanted to do some this weekend but that looks like it went out the window. Sis came in from Chicago so I am spending a bit of time with her.
