Finally got some snow up here! This is our first snow of the year in the Mahaska area. Only got about 2 inches but can have a little fun with it. Trac-lok in the back of my 98 sucks alittle on ice. Still wants to go straight when I wan't to turn in full time. Running in part time in town helpled. Drove back roads all the way to work this morning though anyway lookin for drifts ;D

We had about 2" here in Barnes too. The highway to Washington was pretty snow packed this morning, I'm amazed I didn't see any cars in the ditch!

You should of been on I-70! from Salina west to the Wilson turn off there must have been about 15 wrecks of varying degrees. OTOH I can report that a detroit locker and snow are compatible. Just as when dry, I barely noticed it.

Snow and Detroits are definately compatible, with the Detroit in back and Tru-Trac up front I had no problems in the snow.

There has been some discussion on the JU board, and on the NAXJA board where some will tell others that it will grab and sling you off the road, or some such non-informed garbage.

I've noticed in a lot of mud, mine wants to go down the road sideways, (like on really muddy roads).
We got about an inch or two at the most here in Junction City. The Jeep Truck didn't do too well in 2 wheel drive, even with Robin's tires, but it did do well once i locked it in 4 Wheel drive.

I had to leave work to go get people who couldn't make it out. That is always fun. Hey Phil, don't feel bad, in 2wd mine was squirrelly too. I took it out in the afternoon because most of the roads were treated and I didn't feel like breaking anything on some dry pavement.
Better get ready, I hear round 2 is on the way!!
