While at the gas station yesterday on my way to the ORV, I caught the headline on the Omaha World Herald(I think that was the one anyway). The Nature Conservancy(one of the largest eco-freak groups in the country)has paid private land owners to restrict access and to stop using some river access ground. Basically the only way to access some of these areas is by canoe, no drive in hunting or fishing allowed. So outdoors enthusiasts have lost access to about 6500 acres....so far. To me this sets a dangerous precedent, 1st river access then what?

Say Rob, have you cross posted this to Rockcrawler yet? Or has pagan already picked up on this one.

"They seem to be more interested in stopping development than anything else."
I wouldn't take any bets that that is all they are looking for.
