When are you planning on doing it? You might be able to use Bryan's garage, it is heated too.

Thanks for the offer, but I will need a case spreader for this, as the cross pin is covered by the ring gear, and it must be removed first.

Did you try the wrench on a ring gear bolt and turning the yoke with a big pipe wrench? It has worked for me everytime so far!

No, I put the cover back on. I feared that with such a strong axle, if there was still preload I wouldn't get the shims back in.
