In the newest pertersons (I know, I was bored) they are saying that on buggies on the east coast it is starting to get popular to run MFWD (front wheel assist) tractor axles. they are tough as all get out, are around a 10 to 1 ratio most of the time (no highway cruisers here) and are made for nice big tractor tires already.

Tight turning radius also! any lockers available for them? Or are they Lincoln only? What about trying to find rear axle ratio to match?

I have a pic of a rig in the EROCC circuit that runs them, they ran them all year long. Biggest issue is cost for most of them they are really pricey from what Ive read. Not likely to become a common swap...

don't know how they do the rear, I haven't been able to find any info on it yet on the web. Maybe different tractor manufactuers use different rotatations?
My dad would probly not be happy if he came home and the john deere didn't have a front axle ;D
Have to call abiline machine and get some prices.... not.
