The clean up we did around the bathrooms wasn't specifically for the KK, TK is a volunteer organization with the Army Corps of Engineers. Clean ups like that are on going throughout the year. The actual clean-ups of the ORV for the KK will begin the 16th of Aug. and be every Sat. until the KK. One of the weekends will be reserved for breaking a new easy trail as the one normally used in the past poses a little too much risk for stock rigs

I'm planning on starting the clean ups at 10am at the ORV with the exception of Sept. 13th. That's a business meeting so that'll be the normal time, 11:30 at the Randolph City Park.
The first one on the 16th of Aug. will involve moving alot of drift wood that has made the creek bed portion of the medium trail impassable. The Corps of Engineers would like it moved to open spots along the main access road, so if anyone has a small trailer that would be very helpful. I've got a little 4x6 utility trailer I'll be bringing. Depending on how many people we have helping out we may split up into different groups, one doing wood removal and one working trails
Also, I'd like to get as many of the trail leaders and gunners to these clean ups as possible, this is a perfect time to learn your trail! I've got alot of names on the list but so far I don't think alot really know their trails. This is one of the most important parts of the KK, a trail leader makes the difference between a great day of wheelin' or a long boring frustrating day of wheelin'.

Add to Robin's, I need all hard core leaders and taigunners to run thru what I have in mind. There will be some doubling back that can't be helped if we want an interesting run.

Is there gonna be some people wheeling after the cleanup? Just wondering if I need to hual my rig down. If not I will just drive the pickup or something down and ride with somebody else.
I have that flatbed trailer but it won't handle much for uneven ground without dragging. A pickup box trailer would work nice since it is higher in the air.

Well, Iwill be there but may have to leave mid afternoon. I found out I have a bachelor party to go to saturday night in Beloit. Hate to miss a bachelor party So disregard the question about bringing my rig, would take to much time to take it home then go back down to beloit.

Rob, should i just bring the J4000 truck this weekend? That'd probably be a good idea, it can haul more wood!

Even with a small turnout we got alot done. We got the trails that cross the main access road closed off with driftwood from the creek trail, which is now useable again. Harold towed alot of big stuff up which made that easier and being able to fill up the back of Phil's J4000 was really nice for getting alot of wood moved. We ran the medium trail and got alot trimmed back, but there's more to do. It was hot!! Thanks to Harold for all the towing, chainsaw and weed wacker, Phil for the truck, and thanks to Mike K., Andy, Phil's friend( I'm terrible with names ) for all their hard work.
