yup, you just need to figure out which t-case you're going to use, then you'll know whether you want a chevy or ford D44.

I think overland park will say something about the tires sticking out 3" on each side and plus the tires. with a rig that big it is almost to big for a daily driver, plus the gearing you will need to turn those tires will suck on the street. How often do you use your Jeep for rocks?

If he has OD gearing isn't bad. with 5.13 and 35" tars I turn under 3000 rpm at 70 mph. I'd hate to have the law on my butt every time I drove due to width. I'd find some other people that have tire sticking out of the fenders and question them on if they get hasseled. Don't want to discourage ya, But I want to make sure you will enjoy what you end up with.

Hey now I may be a cop when I'm done next year . I'm from Lenexa and knowing the town, area, I'm sure they would pull you over if you were runing full size axles plus tires sticking out. If you only drive it once a week or so then your chance of getting pulled over would be less. I forget about OD, since I don't have it I keep forgeting about it. I wish my rpms were under 3000 at 70mph. Full size axles have their disadvantages and advantages out on the trail. Are you going to tow your Jeep?

I just wanted to add, that I am also may be join the police force back in that area (and that's no lie) Cops are good people, and all they are doing is there jobs. and that whole "TO Protect and Serve" Thing, is NOT a gimmick, they/we, however you wanna look at it will pull you over b/c that is unsafe on the street.
That's just my $.02

I could be wrong about getting pulled over. You should ask around, maybe find some of the KC Jeep club guys and the KC4WD club.

I wish I had a truck and a goose neck ;D. First I would talk to other people about getting pulled over and the call the police to see what they say. After that I would go from there. You could use Bronco axles like Mark did, they are only maybe a 1" or so wider, I'm sure Mark will post if I'm not right. A dana 30 isn't that bad, I really think if you beef it up it should handle 35s with hard beating and maybe 37s. I really know a lot about TJs and then a good amount about every thing else. I love to learn about all different 4x4s plus I want to go work on them after school if I don't become a cop. I'm from Lenexa but I go to school at KState. You should make a trip to 4x4 Land and talk to Mike.

Check out this site, www.bluetorchfab.com/products.htmThey have a full width kit for a YJ. This is how wide yours could be, given I think it has 38s or maybe 40s but I think it will give you a idea.

if you're wantin to put in full width axles, you may wanna work out a rear steering system to, especially if you wanna run it on the street, b/c after full width, you have to make three point turns for make a right turn. Just a thought
