well for rear ends i dono still maby keep what i have in the front and do an 8.8 in the rear? but i have been looking at the 1/4 elliptic spring kit on the rear i looooooove it hella flex ummmmm now i just need to get an every day drive to build it now anyone got a cheep truck? Thats also a very good swap. You can get away with alot on that front axle as long as you stay pretty calm with your tire size. The 8.8 is a good swap in the rear too because the bolt pattern is the same, most or alot I should say have disc brakes on them and gear selection is similar. Like Robin said you can find cheap complete donor trucks I paid 200 for my F250 I even wheeled it until I blew up the Tcase. Sold the motor for 200 and the Tranny for 100 then kept the axles. I got paid to go fullsize!! *not really I spent alot of money on 5.13s and rebuilding them and disc brakes on the rear 60! LOL

Sounds fun, what kind of 38s are you going to run? What kind of front axle did you decide on and t-case? good luck with the project.

There ae not realy any cheap 38's, when you get that big there aren't that many tires to choose from. TSL swamper might be the cheapest at 38/12.50 for $185. Next time I'm home I want to check it out if you have anything done yet.

i think its mike one here has the army tires i think thay are 37 or 38 for dirt and if not i have a guy out in fontania i can get a used set of humvee tires from him for 250 or 300 for 37 or 38 what ever thay run, and i will have a new lift kit for sale its a re 4.5 extreem cuty with 33 12.50 on black rock crawl rims it will have shocks and springs so if some one is looking for a kit by summer i will have one up for sale cheep the kit now is only like 3 months old and havent been out to the orp yet and not any big trails in overland park ks lol the tires are the same like 3 to 4 months old and still look new i think i paid like 900 for the kit and then 200 in rims and then 425 in tires and i will prob sale it all for 600 or so , if noone buys it i will get another jeep and put it on lol and then sale the jeep for big bucks , its johnson county i can find some rich kid to buy it for big cash lol

Hummer tires are 16.5 and they are 36x12.50 for the bias ply
and 37x12.50 on the Radials
I can get both styles as well and hella cheap, hell I can sell you a set and Hummer rims if you want to run double beadlocks , just have to make choice on steering and wheel clearance up front..

Ill sell you a set of 4 wheels with magnesium runflats and tires (the tires basically just hold air) for 300.00 if you can pick them up and I dont have to ship. They are in The KC area.
