Bill, I know the owners of the place you're talking about, and I wouldn't buy anything from them if they were the last place on the planet to get a shirt. They screwed our local little league football team on a t-shirt deal last fall and I won't do business with them again. I agree with the staff having shirts if possible, nothing fancy, just something bright(no hot pink ) with possibly a small TK logo on the front with the words "Event Staff" in larger letters on the back. It makes it nice for participants that may have a question or problem to be able to find a staff member quickly. It's also nice on the trail, trail leaders & tail gunners are easily identified and there's no doubt as to who's in charge of the group. Plus I just think it looks professional. I think it would be worth looking into on say 25 shirts or so, also, would staff members be willing to pay for their own shirts or part of it, if that was necessary? I'd be willing to pay for a couple if the cost was reasonable.

as for a car not sure if it is big enough or it will last long enough, i have a 87 F**d Taurus Station wagon collecting rust and weeds in my backyard i will donate that if you think it will work.. I think that would be a perfect candidate! Have you crushed a Ford lately?

Don't run over any delta 88's I collect them. Might be going to pick up another one in a week or so (number 3). Got some weird thing for GM fullsize 2 doors. I am all for running over an import or a ford though, or anything new enough to be FWD. Would recomend pulling engine and trans as well as pre-breaking or removing all the glass out. I might be able to get my hands on an early 80's chevy chevvette.

I was thinking the same thing, remove all glass, pull the engine and tranny, and drain the diffs. I may have a line on another location for the car crush(if we do it) that's very close to the ORV, I'll let everyone know when I find out more.

What gets me is that is not as easy to krawl up onto a car as most people think. Something about paint and slick metal . But beware, we all know what metal can do to tires

Back on the T-shirts. I will look on Monday at the costs. It will be more since our Logo is three colors. And we are doing stuff on the back. I will find out what I can do and post the cost to give an idea of what we will have to do out of pocket. I will also look into long sleeve T-shirts since it will be the end of Sept, and could be a little cool.

The logo does not have to be three colors. I think it would still look good simplified even to black ink on a yellow shirt. I think the real issue with being able to sell shirts is having a design worth buying.
Perfect example: I was given a Sam's Offroad shirt for FREE. Have I ever worn it? NO! Not because I have anything against Sam's that would keep me from wearing a free T Shirt. I don't wear it because it's poop brown and their logo is UGHLY!
If as a club we decide not to sell T Shirts, I would like the opportunity to produce my own (at my cost). I would happily split the profits with the club. If they don't sell, the club loses nothing. To insure that I am properly representing the club, I would even be willing to submit my final design for approval.

On the other hand, as a club we might consider offering T Shirt sponsorships to some of the prize sponsors. They foot the cost of the T shirts in exchange for their logo somewhere on the T Shirt.

that would be a good idea, but the problem is that we have already sent out all the letters to sponsors. I think that this is definitely something to look into for next year, though. As far as a single color, I think that would be great, that would knock a couple bucks off each shirt. probably get them down to around 8 or 9 dollars. I can check for you.

OK price for two colors, which I think is how one color front and one back would work, it is still two screens. would be 7.70 for T-shirts, and 11.70 for long sleeve T-shirts. Remember it will be the end of September, so the weather early in the morning, and in the evening could be very similar to what we are experiencing now, a little cool.

edit: these prices are assuming we buy at least 25 shirts.

In response to your sponsors paying to have their names on the shirts: I personally feel that a donation of a winch should be sufficient enough to warrant a name on a shirt. Just my 80,000 cents worth. Mike
